Carly Coaty Appointed as TSF’s First Director of Programs

Carly Coaty, an experienced program manager and event planner and former Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) Program Manager, joined TSF’s staff on May 15, 2023, as The Security Foundation’s (TSF) first-ever Director of Programs.

Carly oversees TSF’s new focus on creating its own programs for the security industry and managing TSF’s work in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Post merger with the Domestic Security Partnership, TSF is adding programs to its portfolio of support for the security profession, while continuing to fund the Domestic Security Alliance Council (DSAC) and OSAC and smaller, security-related nonprofits through the ISF Grants Program.

Carly’s expertise is an excellent fit with TSF and its vision to create a safer, more secure world by helping to protect U.S. citizens and interests at home and abroad through education, information sharing and funding security-related organizations. She has experience in various sectors including government, defense, security, diplomacy, human rights, teaching and nonprofits.

“Carly is an excellent addition to TSF’s team and brings a wealth of experience, talent and deep connections to our community,” notes Peggy F. O’Neill, ISF Executive Director. “She joins us at an auspicious time as TSF moves from a funding organization to one that funds outside programs and creates and hosts its own programs for the industry. Carly’s creativity and vision, coupled with her exceptional program management skills, bode very well for what TSF will accomplish to help further our important work.”

Welcome, Carly!
