Also called the Spring Festival or Chinese Memorial Day, this traditional Chinese festival falls on the first day of the fifth solar term (the Qingming) of the Chinese lunisolar calendar. During Qingming, Chinese families visit the tombs of their ancestors to clean the gravesites and make ritual offerings to their ancestors.      

First day of the Islamic month of Shawwal, marking the end of Ramadan. Many Muslims attend communal prayers, listen to a khutuba (sermon) and give Zakat al-Fitr (charity in the form of food).
