Carly Coaty, TSF Director of Programs, Earns Cornell University DEI Certification
Carly Coaty, Director of Programs for The Security Foundation (TSF), recently completed Cornell University’s DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) certification. This four-course, online program includes topics on Counteracting Unconscious Bias; Fostering an Inclusive Climate; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Work; and Improving Engagement. Each topic is essential to her work in leading TSF’s DEI goals and initiatives.
Carly’s DEI leadership and knowledge are essential to TSF’s own strategic DEI goals and to the security profession in general. Last spring, TSF convened the first-ever DEI Joint Summit for public-private partnerships. The original Summit participants included ASIS International, DSAC, ISMA and OSAC; for the May 2024 DEI Summit, which Carly is managing and organizing, more security organizations, nonprofits and interested individuals will be joining the effort.
“This certification enhances my ability to lead collaborative efforts, bridge diverse perspectives and drive meaningful change,” Carly explains. “Earning a DEI certificate better equips me to convene our organizational partners around a unified goal of advancing diversity in the security profession by providing me with foundational tools and background needed to effectively communicate, collaborate and strategize for impactful change.”
Congratulations, Carly, on your impressive accomplishment!
